June Company Outing

Last week it rained cats and dogs, but that didn’t stop us from having fun at our company outing! This month’s adventure was at Railgarten here in Memphis.

After dinner, we all headed over to the other building where the bar and ping pong tables are housed and challenged each other to a few games!

We even got the chance to catch-up with some of our friends from the Florida and Nonconnah office locations!

The Blue Room – Meet Hannah

Welcome back to The Blue Room, where we spotlight one of our team members and get to know them! This month’s feature member is our in-house Content Developer, Hannah Verret.

What is your title at Crisp Marketing?
Content Developer

How long have you worked for Crisp?
2 months!

Give us an idea of what you do regularly in your role.
Generally, I research and write articles along with the rest of the team… with some Facebook and website content thrown in as well.

What are 3 words you would use to describe Crisp Marketing?
Fun, Caffeinated and Busy.

What do you like most about working for Crisp Marketing?
All the snacks, for sure.

Do you have an office nickname?
Yes, but it depends on who you ask about it for the answer. Sometimes it’s Fight Club Hannah and others it’s Tropicana Hannah.

What is your favorite thing about living in Memphis?
That Grit N Grind, dude! I love the community and spirit of the whole city. I love that people love Memphis so much.

Before working at Crisp, what is the most unusual or most interesting job you ever had?
Before Crisp, I worked at a car dealership… so every day was a new kind of crazy and you never knew what to expect.

What month and day is your birthday?
September 10th!

Where did you go to school?
University of Memphis, GTG!

What is your favorite movie and book?
Favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and my favorite movie is Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp.

What are your three most overused words/phrases?
I say “dude” far more often than I should. My response to almost everything is “oh” and “I’m going home” so I think that says a lot about me.

Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work. (hobbies, family life, side jobs, etc)
I’m very close to my family and friends. On top of spending time with them, I enjoy going to the Grizzlies games, reading and hanging out with my puppy dog, fluff cat & ducky girls.

What is the one thing you cannot resist?
Cheese fries!

What’s your favorite travel spot?
So far, London! I still have plenty of traveling to do though.

What would your friends/family say about you if I asked them to tell me about you? How are you known outside of work?
If you asked my mom she would say something along the lines of, “Hannah likes to act tough and mean on the outside but she’s actually very loyal and soft-hearted.” If you asked my best friend she’d probably say something along the lines of, “She’s crazy, but she’s my Nan and I love her. She’s my person.”

If you could spend a day hanging out with anyone from any time period, who would it be and why?
JOE JONAS. Because I’ve loved him for a very long time and we’re going to get married one day, okay?!

Did anyone influence your decision when building your career? If so, who?
I have a few people who pushed me in the right direction. I had a high school teacher, Mrs. Young, who was in charge of the yearbook staff and always pushed me to do my best work. My mom has always been my number one fan and she’s guided me to do what I love.

What did you want to be growing up?
I alternated between a Vet and an Animal Cop.

What is your life philosophy, motto or favorite quote?
“I Am Groot.”

May Company Outing

Well… here we are again, and once more, it’s time for the Crisp Marketing team to hit the city for a little fun.  If you’ve been following us at all, you know that we are all about Eat – Play – Repeat!  Our choice this month was Main Event Entertainment, and it was absolutely the correct choice.  This place is the Chuck E Cheese on steroids for adults.  We highly recommend, if you’ve not already blessed your inner-child with a visit to this place!

As you can see here, Jake and Jason are enjoying the small pizza feast before hitting the electronic playground.

Let me just say, unlike most entertainment places that serve pizza, this place knew how to make a great pizza.  It wasn’t just all about games here.

As far as games go, they had about every possible game you’d want to play, but Ski Ball is the department fave.  I think everyone would agree that the Ski Ball section took about 70% of our money that night.

Here is one of our straight-shooters, Hannah, taking her week’s stress out on the Ghostbusters Water Gun Game.  Just look at that focus!  Ha.

As far as bowling goes, Main Event’s Bowling Lanes are second to none.  We had such a good time, and the process, from picking your ball to just cutting loose on the pins, was fantastic.  Another great departmental outing in the books, and another super fun night.  Work hard – play hard… the Crisp Marketing way.
