The Blue Room – Meet Sarah

Welcome back to The Blue Room with Crisp Marketing! This month we’re spotlighting one of our newer additions to the team – Sarah!


What is your title at Crisp Marketing?
Junior Graphic Designer


How long have you worked for Crisp?
2 months


Give us an idea of what you do regularly in your role.
I make things look pretty.


What would your coworkers tell me if I asked them to tell me about you? In other words, how are you known at work?
Hmm.. Well, I’ve only been here for 2 months so this question is a little hard to answer. I would guess they would think I am polite, enjoy laughing but quiet at times.


What do you enjoy most about your current position?
I love the creative nature of my job.


Would you consider yourself right-brain or left-brain dominant and why?
Definitely right-brained.


What are your favorite places to go in Memphis?
The zoo is always fun. The botanical gardens big back yard, and the children’s museum are also popular among my crew.


Before working at Crisp, what is the most unusual or most interesting job you ever had?
Working as a clerk at a family law practice was pretty interesting.

Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work. (hobbies, family life, side jobs, etc)
When I am not designing away here at Crisp or on freelance jobs you will probably find me carting one of my three kids around to various activities.


Tell us a story about something cool you have done – a vacation, accomplishment, something like that.
I once won a trip to New York to compete in the national paper rock scissors championship.


Describe your teenage self. What were you like as a teenager?
Musical, Artistic, Silly, mall rat.


What would your friends/family say about you if I asked them to tell me about you? How are you known outside of work?
My family and friends would probably describe me as a goof ball.


If you could spend a day hanging out with anyone from any time period, who would it be and why?
Um Jesus. Why? Because it’s Jesus!  No matter your religion you can’t not be interested in meeting him.


What are a couple of life or career lessons that you have learned so far?
No mistake is ever too big.


What advice would you give your teenage self?
Don’t take things so seriously. Accept the fact that there will always be things you don’t know and things to learn.
